In a renewed effort to promote a safer digital environment for children and young people, the Child Protection Initiative Against Cyber Crime (C-C Pro) has announced the launch of a new radio programme titled\u00a0\u201cCyber Talks with C-C Pro.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0The initiative marks another significant step in the organisation\u2019s ongoing commitment to cyber safety education and child protection in Nigeria\u2019s rapidly evolving digital landscape.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The radio programme will air on\u00a0Municipal FM 95.3 Abuja<\/strong>\u00a0and is designed to serve as an accessible and practical platform for conversations around online safety, cybercrime prevention, digital rights, cyber awareness, and emerging technology trends. With internet access becoming increasingly widespread among young people, the programme seeks to address the growing risks associated with digital exposure while promoting responsible and informed online behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As children and teenagers spend more time online for education, entertainment, and social interaction, concerns around cyberbullying, online exploitation, data privacy breaches, and cyber fraud have continued to rise. C-C Pro\u2019s new radio programme aims to respond to these challenges by equipping families with knowledge that is both relevant and easy to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stakeholders and parents commended the initiative for its timeliness and relevance, noting that the information provided helped families guide their wards on safe internet use while avoiding common cyber traps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of the tips focused on issues such as safe social media practices, recognizing online scams, protecting personal information, and reporting suspicious online behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The positive reception of the campaign further highlighted the need for sustained cyber awareness initiatives beyond social media, paving the way for a more interactive and continuous platform such as radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the new initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of C-C Pro, Delmwa Gogwim<\/strong><\/a>, explained that the radio programme is designed to deepen cyber awareness and provide practical tools for families navigating today\u2019s digital world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to her, the programme aims to help young people and parents enjoy the benefits of cyberspace while remaining alert to potential dangers. She emphasized that digital safety is no longer optional, but a critical life skill that must be developed early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
