The Plateau State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA)<\/strong> <\/a>and the Plateau State Association of Tech Companies (PLATEC)<\/strong><\/a> have commended the Child Protection Initiative Against Cyber Crimes (C-C Pro)<\/strong><\/a> for its unwavering commitment to cybersecurity education<\/strong> and digital literacy<\/strong> among young Nigerians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During recent engagements with PICTDA and PLATEC<\/strong>, C-C Pro was lauded for its efforts in empowering teenagers with digital skills.<\/strong>\u00a0But stakeholders emphasized the need for long-term sustainability and measurable impact<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engagements are part of preparation for its 2025 edition of Teen-Tech Nigeria Mentorship Program<\/strong> holding in Jos. The last edition<\/a> held in Abuja. A fallout of the\u00a02023 Nigerian Teen Cyber Awareness Report<\/strong>\u00a0by C-C Pro, <\/strong>the initiative provides secondary school students with mentorship, guidance, and resources to harness their creativity and innovation in the field of ICT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director-General of PICTDA, Mr. Datong Dominic Gwaman<\/a><\/strong>, expressed appreciation for C-C Pro\u2019s visionary approach<\/strong> in educating young people on responsible digital engagement<\/strong>. However, he urged the initiative to ensure its programs have lasting impact beyond one-time interventions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PICTDA reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with C-C Pro<\/strong> and announced its support for the 2025 Program.<\/strong> It is scheduled for March 19, 2025<\/strong>, at Government Secondary School, Hwolshe, Jos<\/strong>. The event will provide digital training<\/strong> for secondary school students and micro-workshops on digital empowerments. This edition will feature tech experts,<\/strong> corporate players including NASCO Group<\/a>, SBTS Group<\/a><\/strong> to equip students with skills to navigate the digital economy<\/strong>.The PLATEC President praised C-C Pro\u2019s Teen Tech Mentorship Program. <\/strong>\u00a0He described it as a timely intervention<\/strong> in equipping young Nigerians with cybersecurity awareness<\/strong> and digital skills<\/strong>. Sunday<\/strong> stressed the urgent need for youth empowerment in technology<\/strong> and pledged PLATEC\u2019s full support<\/strong> in mentoring participants and enhancing the program\u2019s reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With growing recognition and strategic support from PICTDA and PLATEC<\/strong>, C-C Pro is well-positioned to drive sustainable change in tech education. <\/strong>The organisation is helping to foster a secure and responsible digital culture among Nigerian youth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
